What do I do when Power BI asks me to “Request Access” when I try to log into the Dashboard?

If you are clicking on the “Request Access” button and it redirects you to PowerBI.com, you will need to activate your Power BI account. To do this, navigate to the top right hand side of the screen and click on your account profile. You should see an option to “Start trial”. Click on this to activate your Power BI account.

Note: The trial is for 60 days, but you will retain access to Power BI once the trial expires.


If you cannot see "Start Trial" please log out of your Power BI account and then log back in using your SA Government email and password. This should allow you to see "Start Trial."
